I’ve had the privilege of learning glass fusing from two talented Oregon coast glass artists, Teresa Kowalski and Larry Sommer. Both opened my eyes to the vast possibilities inherent in glass and allowed me to explore and develop my style.
My art is an expression of who I am, a blending of my ideas and creativity with glass and metal.
I strive to create something new, different and beautiful, something unique. Something that has meaning for me.
I find the process of creation and execution very satisfying. I’m fascinated with interpreting other mediums such as fabrics, acrylics, watercolor and woven art into glass. I find some ideas work beautifully, others, need fine tuning. But that’s the fun of it, and what draws me back to my studio time after time.
I truly enjoy the details and exploration involved for each process and the growth that comes with it. Achieving what I’ve envisioned is a small part of the whole. It also helps to define who I am and where I want to go.
I hope you enjoy what I’ve created.
